As we all know that the health is very much important for everyone, especially for the kids because the basic fundamental of health is begins from childhood. So, people always getting conscious about their health, but they always forget to maintain the same in this busy world. The same happened with the kids. We can still manage in the case of adults, but in the case of kids, we should never tolerate such negligence. If since childhood, parents focus more on kid’s nutritious food then in the future kid’s mind, the brain and heath will all grow accordingly. In today’s world, every parent is busy with their own schedule, due to which they are unable to plan their kid’s meal in routine, which directly affects their growth. Even there are certain parents, who are not aware that what type of food is healthy for their kids and what should they eat to get complete nutrition. Being fit is a way of saying that a child eats healthy, gets involved in physical activity (Sports, walk, yoga, etc.), and has a healthy weight. If they are fit, their body works well, study well, feels good, and can do all the things they want to do. Some parts of this are up to parents - such as serving healthy meals or deciding to take the family on a nature hike, but kids can take charge too when it comes to their health.
Here are five rules to live by, if you're a kid who wants to be fit. The trick is to follow these rules most of the time, knowing that some days (like your birthday) might call for cake and ice cream.
1. Eat a Variety of Foods:
You may have a favorite food, but the best choice is to eat a variety. If you eat different foods, you're more likely to get the nutrients your body needs. Every fruit and vegetables have their own nutrition value (Vitamin or minerals).
2. Drink Water:
It is 60% of the water in our bodies and it is always recommended to drink at least 8 glass of water per day. Staying hydrated is really very important not for the kids only but for everyone. It is one of the lives saving sources, without this people can’t even service. There are many side effects of not drinking the required water. It is very important to fulfill the requirement of human bodies. Also, its parent’s responsibilities, to make kids habitual of drinking water since childhood as per the age and their body requirements.
3. Milk Products:
Milk Products and dairy foods are high in calcium, which helps kids in their growing age. These are always considered as a rich source of minerals and vitamins. Due to the high nutrition value, it is always recommended for kids to include the milk products in their meals.
4. Physical Activity:
Physical activities are so important for the kids. It helps kids in their growth, development, and weight management. If children are involved in physical activities since childhood, that gives stronger bones, muscles, and joints. Also, helps in better focus and concentration during school as well. Doctors are also recommended physical activities for sharp minds, an active body, and for energetic lifestyle.
5. Limit Screen Time:
What's screen time? It's the amount of time you spend watching TV or DVDs, playing video games, and using a smartphone, tablet, or computer. The more time you spend on these sitting-down activities, the less time you have for active stuff, like basketball, bike riding, and swimming. Try to spend no more than 2 hours a day on screen time and try to get involved in outdoor activities. It improves the eyesight and mental growth.
6. Time for Family:
Last in my list, but not the least. Spending time with the family is also very important for the kid’s mental health. Kid's basic foundation always starts from the home, but in this busy world, neither the parents nor the kids have time for each other.
While spending time with family, kids learn lots of things; they can feel their importance which ultimately helps them to be better people in their lives.
Conclusion:
As already discussed above Kid's health is something which is not ignorable and there are many factors that impact them since childhood. In the end, I would like to say that parents should monitor each activity of the kids, but yes don’t be fishy. We should try to balance our work and home in a way that we should give all those moral values which kids always need.
