Tips to improve the Self Confidence

Confidence is a trust in someone or something and to have that belief in you is known as self-confidence. It’s very simple that you have to think and explore all the good things you have in yourself, your abilities, strengths, intelligence, achievements, or any other special skills of your interest. The lack of anything does not mean that you should lose your self-confidence. As nobody is perfect, everyone can’t be good at everything. So, if you are good in 10 things, but not so good in any, that should not affect your self-confidence. Therefore, you must believe in yourself and discover that you have something more special and powerful than others do.

Self-confidence is not something that can be taught, it is definitely up to you how much belief you have on yourself. Like nobody can teach us, when to be happy and when to be sad, in a similar way, it all depends on us. We must believe in ourselves before others should believe in us. If you believe, that “you can or you will do”, then surely you will do your best and will succeed. But if you don’t believe in yourself or having thoughts like “I am losing”, “I cannot” “I haven’t done it before” or “I am out”, and then you are really out and will lose the many opportunities.

This comes when you are sure about yourself. When you know about your abilities, about your strengths and weaknesses, then you will be able to make the right decision without anybody’s approval.  When you are on your own and not depend on others, you do your best.

What is the reason why people lose their Self-Confidence?

When you are at a point, when you allow others to control your life or how you should feel. This the time when you actually start losing your self-confidence. When you start acting or living our life with another perspective, you stop being you. Initially, you somehow manage, but it won’t work for a longer period. You start losing yourself and your own worth. Most often these feelings come from people allowing the negativity of other people to overcome them.  In such a condition, you should take a break and go for a short ride. Yes Ride, ride in your own mind, your own heart, and should take an internal survey. You should ask yourselves what is that which is holding you back and you have to willing to take control of your life and whatever is it. So often you, as a people, look for the validation from society before you validate yourselves. You allowed society to determine how you should look, dress, and feel. It is time for you to take a stand and be in control of your own destiny.

There is a saying that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. What is beautiful to one person may not be as radiant to another. In a similar way, what makes you feel good, may do not seem right for others. As everyone has their own journey, which is different from others, you should make a decision that makes sense to you.

What can be done to improve the Self Confidence?

There is nothing like that you cannot improve if you are low at your self-confidence. You can do this just taking control of your own mind. By taking some specific actions that will improve your image, without the help of anyone else.

There are so many things which can do easily and these are not new to you. You just need to focus and be regular in what you are going to start. Go slow, but do it regularly. We have pen down few things below which worked for everyone till now. You just need to choose a couple of them and start working on them one by one. 

Tips to improve your Self-Confidence:

Stop Comparison: When people start comparing themselves with others in terms of wealth, health, love, friends and income, etc, they start losing their self-confidence. The more attention you pay in comparison the more you divert yourself from your goal. Whenever you start comparing, remind yourself that it won’t help you ever. Everyone has their own journey and you have to run your own race on your own.

Take care of your body: I have been encountering many incidences when people start losing their self-confidence just because they are not fit. In their subconscious mind, they are aware that they are fat, not looking good, etc. we should concentrate more on our body, on our diet, exercise, attire, etc. If we are at our best physically, we feel more confident.

Small changes: you cannot do miracles in one day and being a human we cannot achieve what we want in one go. We have to make plans and we should strictly follow it. Let's start with the small changes in our daily routine, it can be quitting smoke or wake up 30 mins early for a workout, pen down all the things which need to be completed in a given period of time, and so on. By doing these small things, you will be able to make big differences in your life, which ultimately help you in boosting your self-confidence

Focus on solutions: Maximum time we have seen that people crib about the problems they are facing in this life. Its life and there is no fun without the problem, but the best thing anyone can do is look forward to the solutions, instead of talking about the problems all the time. The focus needs to shift from the problems to the solution to increase your self-confidence.
